What is Azure Service Endpoint and what does it do?

Azure Service Endpoint is a feature of Azure Virtual Network that allows you to secure the connection between your virtual machines and Azure services. By using Service Endpoints, you can control network traffic and improve security by allowing only specific virtual machines to access Azure services.

How does Azure Service Endpoint differ from other network security solutions?

Azure Service Endpoint differs from other network security solutions such as Network Security Groups (NSGs) and Azure Firewall in that it allows you to control access to Azure services at a more granular level. While NSGs and Azure Firewall control access to virtual machines, Service Endpoints allow you to control access to specific Azure services.

Can I use Azure Service Endpoint with services running in other clouds or on-premises?

Azure Service Endpoint is specifically designed to work with Azure services and is currently only available for Azure services. If you want to access services running on other clouds or on-premises, you can use Azure ExpressRoute or VPN to connect your virtual network to those services.
